Jesus Takes Good Care of Those Who Love Him
Written by a regular writer Michelle
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you” saith the Lord, “thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end, then shall ye call upon Me and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you, and ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart.” ( Jeremiah 29:11-13)
This week I witnessed how incredible God is. I love when this happens. It blows you right out of the water. It all started a week ago when I had a complete melt down on my bed. In despair, crying out to my heavenly Father, I prayed — I have no job, and in ten days I will have no house. What is the next step? I trust you!”
I call it a Hannah moment. If you don’t know what I am talking about, check out the first chapter of Samuel. I desperately needed something to happen but I was in a state of misery. If the sheep don’t know what to do, it calls out to the Shepherd. So I did.
In less than 24 hours, I receive an email from a recruitment agency, (One that has placed people with jobs all over the country) looking to set up an interview the following day. I called friends to pray for my situation. What happens? I end up landing a job and a placement. HALLELUJAH
But wait there’s more…
Two days after my job interview, I was at my small fellowship group. It is led by a couple who recently started a church in my town with the people I worked for in Toronto. I mentioned to some girls I had just met that I needed a place to stay. Little did I know those girls were looking for a roommate. Wait…? What? Yep! This of course was right around the corner from my work.
But this is when it gets CRAZY….
While I am driving to the location of where the house is, I realize I have been on this street before. Wait a minute — I’ve been in this house before. It just happens that I have known the landlords who own the place since I was a kid. It was my mother who hired them as camp directors years ago. The couple I am replacing are related to people I worked with and the other new roommate who is moving in I went to camp with as a child.
This story had God written ALL over it. Why? Because Jesus told us to “behold the fowls of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they?” (Matthew 6:26)
Indeed, there is power in prayer. Therefore, if you find yourself in a similar situation, trust Jesus with all your heart, your soul, your mind and strength. Read His Word for your wisdom. Learn about His goodness and grace that is beyond measure. Be blessed.
