The Beginning of a New Year
“The time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent ye, and believe the gospel.” (John 1:15)
I hope the New Year dawns bright and happy for all. This is my wish for everyone. I also hope that you say a little prayer for me because the son I lost four years ago would have celebrated his 46th birthday on January 2nd. Needless to say, this is always a difficult day for me. But as time goes on I am – through the Grace of God and the power of faith and prayer — dealing with my loss with more strength.
If, like me you have lost someone and are still feeling the pain of that loss, know that I shall be saying a prayer for you also. My mother always said that “faith could move mountains.” Because of my belief, I have found that faith can also heal broken hearts and souls. I have found strength in the gospel and I hope you can also.
As it is written in Luke 4:18, Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.”
May God richly bless and keep you well.
