In a world where racism is still running rampant. Where hate is still more prominent than love. Where kindness is overshadowed by harshness. Where compassion is forgotten.
Where misery loves creating more misery. Where unforgiving trumps forgiveness.
Where Jesus is missing.
I’m glad Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. I’m glad He knows my heart. I am glad my parents took the time to teach me about Him. His goodness and grace. His love and mercy.
I’m glad I know LOVE is more important than hate. That FORGIVENESS is more important than blame.
I’m glad that Jesus taught me that everyone of His children matter … not their skin colour or race, their job, their income level, their place in this world. That indeed, the person matters.
We need more Jesus. And it’s not a joke anymore. Our world is deteriorating all around us. Before more lives are ruined and destroyed and more hate manifests, we need Jesus to be shared far and wide. We need Jesus to comfort the hearts of those around us. We need Jesus to cuddle those who are hurting. And seriously, it has to happen now!
Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all [men] know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34-35)
